Clark Road (SR 72) from Honore Avenue to West of Gantt Road: Construction project: The Florida Department of Transportation will commence milling, resurfacing, installing curb, gutter, drainage and pavement markings on less than one-half mile on Clark Road (SR 72) from Honore Avenue to west of Gantt Road in Sarasota County in June.
- Motorists can expect intermittent single- and dual-lane closures overnight throughout the project.
- Please watch for signs, barricades and workers close to the travel lanes and obey posted speed limits in the construction zone.
- The Palmer Crossing Mall entrance off Clark Road at Chick-fil-A /Shell gas station/Jimmy John’s will have a temporary road closure starting on July 11 that will continue for approximately three months. Patrons can access the businesses via two other entrances to the mall off Clark Road and two entrances off Honore
- The project’s estimated completion is in mid-2026.

SR 758/Bee Ridge Road at the Legacy Trail: Construction project: Crews are constructing two new pedestrian bridges and intersection improvements along the Legacy Trail in Sarasota County.
- Limited opening: The Bee Ridge Bridge span is open for cyclists and pedestrians but is still an active construction zone. While the bridge is open, the pedestrian staircases are not yet complete. Please be aware of the potential for workers and construction vehicles in the area.
- Lane closures: As the project is finalized, there will be occasional daytime lane closures from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. On Friday, July 11, there will be multiple lane closures in both directions overnight on Bee Ridge Road to pave the intersection under the pedestrian/bicycle overpass.
- Final project completion is expected late July 2025.
SR 72/Clark Road and the Legacy Trail:
