Clark Road (SR 72) from Honore Avenue to West of Gantt Road: Construction project: The Florida Department of Transportation is milling, resurfacing, installing curb, gutter, drainage and pavement markings on less than one-half mile on Clark Road (SR 72) from Honore Avenue to west of Gantt Road in Sarasota County.

New Lane Closure Notice:

• Starting December 17 and continuing through December 23 there will be an inside lane closure on eastbound Clark Road from west of Honore to just west of Gantt Road. This will allow crews to construct the proposed concrete median separator, curb, and gutter. There will be two through lanes on eastbound Clark Road during this operation.
• The first two eastbound Palmer Crossing Shopping Center entrances off Clark Road will have a temporary road closure through December 16. The right lane and turn lanes to the shopping center off Clark Road will be reopened December 17.
• Motorists can expect intermittent single- and dual-lane closures overnight throughout the project.
• Please watch for signs, barricades and workers close to the travel lanes and obey posted speed limits in the construction zone.
•  The project’s estimated completion is in mid-2026.
